Unfortunately our intended concert on 14 November 2020 could not take place owing to Covid-19. We intend to present the same concert programme on 20 November 2021.
However we were delighted that on Thursday 10 December Amy Roberts gave a most interesting and informative Zoom presentation of the Richard Strauss Oboe Concerto. As well as Amy’s insights into the score, context and background to the concerto she performed it with her accompanist Hamish Brown playing his new piano reduction of the orchestral score. Amy’s stunning performance made us excited for her performance with the orchestra next November.
Our next event after this was to have been a concert in Leatherhead on 13 February 2021, but unfortunately this too has had to be postponed to next season, and will now be on 12 February 2022 (please follow the link for details).
Our final concert in the 2020-21 season was to have been on 22 May 2021 in Ashtead, but Covid-19 restrictions have caused this to be postponed as well. It will now take place on 21 May 2022, please see details here.
